Keatswood Kitchen Overhaul
Project Description
This was a very in-depth overhaul involving removal of a fireplace, some loadbearing walls, plumbing and electrical re-routing, and installing 2 huge well hidden beams (you can’t see them I assure you!) Eliminating the fireplace and the wall between the kitchen and old den allowed for this huge serve around island. We continued the beautiful oak floor into the kitchen from the old den (new diningroom) quite seamlessly. The granite used here is very rare. It didn’t have a name in fact so we named the slabs after the owners daughter while at the stone yard. Lastly we hung large matching pendants in the new dining area to match those over the island, tying the large dual purpose room together. Study the before pictures, it’s quite interesting.
